(plug in, fill, and play) The booklet that comes along with the Shuffle does say to charge it four hours. Of course, I couldn't wait that long to get back to the expo so I filled it and then took it out. The iPod shuffle lasted for the rest of the day and the battery gauge light on the back was still green. I still don't know what all the lights mean, but this battery has been going for a long long time. You know, strange thing is that is exactly what happened.
