Does it also act like a flash thumb drive?
Can you also put files on it like the HD feature of the iPods?

Can you just drag and drop music onto the shuffle when it's plugged in, or do you have to go through iTunes?

H.S. Shining, I checked on my Soundsticks II when I got home and it worked great. The sound was nice and loud.

Can you plug the iPod Shuffle into powered speakers like you can the iPod, or does it just run through the earbuds?
Thanks

Hey Brian - if you shut the Shuffle off mid-song, does it start at the same point when you turn it on again?

You know, strange thing is that is exactly what happened. (plug in, fill, and play) The booklet that comes along with the Shuffle does say to charge it four hours. Of course, I couldn't wait that long to get back to the expo so I filled it and then took it out. The iPod shuffle lasted for the rest of the day and the battery gauge light on the back was still green. I still don't know what all the lights mean, but this battery has been going for a long long time.

"I plugged it into my powerbook and named it. Then it immediately starting filling with random songs."

Kinda confused here.... rechargeable battery that was ready to go when you bought it? No lead time needed to get it charged up?

I just got the U2 iPod, and love it, but would love to have a shuffle for working out with (less fragile and...uh...it shuffles the songs so I don't have to worry about it).
