Planet Earth Is Just Amazing

Candace and I really enjoyed watching the first few episodes of Planet Earth on The Discovery Channel last week. They are billing it as “an 11 part mini-series event” and it is incredible.

The fourth and fifth parts are airing tonight. If you have a large HD television, you’ll be amazed at the video. You’ll certainly be reminded at how beautiful the earth can be.

    Good reminder. We watched it last week at Ellie’s, and I have never had so much respect for hyena’s in my life.

    They have the series out on DVD now. I first saw it in England last year and really enjoyed watching it commercial free.

    Richard, I read that it was broadcast there first and was now on DVD. I wish I had a a high definition DVD player to get the full effect.

    (It would be nice without commercials though.)

    I am Tivoing it. I thought it was brilliant. The series was also featured on Oprah, and like her, I just felt a true connection and respect for our world.

    Alan and I watched it tonight and it was absolutely amazing in HD.

    Megan, HD is the key. We turned it on for a moment on our other TV. It was nice, but on the HDTV it was a hundred times better.
