I've thought the DS Lites were really cool, and loved playing James', but I didn't know about half of the features you just mentioned. Black-and-yellow screen and heavy like a brick. Since you couldn't use it in the dark, I had the huge slide-on accessory that lit the screen (and required four additional batteries). Plus the clumsy clip-on magnifying glass so I could see the screen better. And a big ol' plug-in adapter so I could devote my batteries to the light screen accessory. When fully pimped out, my Gameboy was about half as large and heavy as I was. I loved that black and yellow pimped-out brick. I remember my Gameboy from prehistoric days.
