David, each time a JT family member has a album come out, I'll usually give it a listen. Ben (his son) is decent but I haven't really connected to any of the music from his family members.

I songs themselves are alright, but my JT infatuation comes mostly for his distinct voice and his perfect guitar.

Thanks for all the feedback, I appreciate it. We'll make sure to rent it.

Just a quick suggestion for you Brian...I am interested on your thoughts about James Taylor's family's music careers. I have been listening lately to Livingston Taylor (Brother) and James' son (the name escapes me right now). Do you like them or do you think they rode on James' coattails to get album contracts?

Thanks for bringing that up Shaun. It is indeed a real though provoking and intense movie at times.

Also, since most of it is in subtitles, you'd probably want to be old enough to read as well.

This isn't really a movie you watch for that 'feel good feeling'. It deals with very deep, social issues, including sexual abuse. I agree with Brian that this is a great movie. I was floored with how this movie makes you feel all the ranges of emotion, none were left out. I agree that this is a must see but I would definately leave the kids out of the movie session.

I've read the book and thought it was very good. I'm sure the "questionable" part in the book is the incident that I am thinking of, but I don't think it should prevent you from reading the book or seeing the movie David. Enjoy.

Thanks for the recommendation! I'll definitely look it up. I just found "The Kite Runner" in our book collection (I was unpacking a box in the garage), and got pretty excited. I'm sure if you two cried, I'll be joining you.

Hmm...not sure what you mean by questionable. There weren't any sexual things. The practices of Al Queda was hard to watch at times just because you're sad that humans can do such things.
